WINKLERBERG HINTER WINKLEN "Gras im Ofen"

Somewhat higher up the Hinter Winklen block, near a stand of trees, the Ihringer Winklerberg forms a gentle arc, behind which sit the parcels that produce the wines we call "Gras im Ofen." In these somewhat cooler, exposed sites, the grapes enjoy morning shade from the Reppenecker ridge and full sun in the afternoon. The wines show not only a magnificent, salty minerality, but also a stunning elegance and complexity.
