Diligent and dedicated with painstaking attention to detail and a strong sense of tradition: these are the values that shape our work in the cellar. What grows under our watchful care in the vineyard must be protected and nurtured in the cellar. The wines from our volcanic-soil vineyards show a distinct and unmistakable minerality. Almost universally dry wines, fermented in either large oak barrels, barrique or stainless steel, make up the majority of our range. In exceptional vintages, we also take the liberty of producing first-class dessert wines. The grace, elegance and unique sense of place of the Winklerberg and Schlossberg sites shine through thanks to our extremely gentle processing in the cellar.
